Our current programme is coming to a close at the end of 2021. Hence, in 2020, we started working on our strategies for the period 2022-2026. For each of our global programmes (coffee, cocoa, rice and Food Smart Cities), as well as for two key transversal topics (youth and gender), we have defined our strategies. In the course of 2021, we will be working on a strategy with regards to climate change and biodiversity.
All of these strategies are condensed into a Strategy Summary 2022-2026. It charts the path we would like to walk towards sustainable food systems, by focussing on interventions that can reshape the roles of multiple food system actors, from the global to local level. The strategy summary also sets out our systems approach for working with diverse partners to strengthen selected commodity sectors and to address the wider food system challenges of cities.
We are especially grateful to all partners and stakeholders who contributed with their viewpoints and expertise to finetune our strategy during the stakeholder consultation exercise in January 2021.
